Coca-Cola with Coffee Is Gone in the US. What to Drink Instead

Coca-Cola with Coffee was discontinued in the United States in November 2022, less than two years after its January 2021 launch. Nothing identical has replaced it. The closest options today are a homemade mix of cola and coffee, a cola that gets its caffeine from coffee beans, or a coffee soda if it's the coffee and the fizz you miss more than the cola.

What was Coca-Cola with Coffee?

Cola blended with coffee. In the US it came in Dark Blend, Vanilla and Caramel, with Zero Sugar versions of Dark Blend and Vanilla (Wikipedia). It had nearly 70mg of caffeine per 12 oz can, about double a regular Coke (Tasting Table). Coca-Cola's own figure for a regular 12 oz Coke is 34mg (Coca-Cola).

Why was Coca-Cola with Coffee discontinued?

When it pulled the drink from the US in November 2022, Coca-Cola said it wanted to focus on Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Coca-Cola Creations and mini cans (Wikipedia, Beverage Digest). The drink had already been sold in more than 30 countries outside the US by 2020.

Is Coca-Cola with Coffee coming back?

We couldn't find any announcement of a US return as of October 2026. Fans started a change.org petition, "Reintroduce Coca-Cola with Coffee", and in December 2025 Tasting Table called it the discontinued Coca-Cola drink fans wish would make a comeback.

If you miss the exact taste: make it yourself

The closest match is homemade. Fill a glass with ice, pour in a cold 12 oz Diet Coke or Coke Zero Sugar, then add a shot of espresso or 1 to 2 oz of cold brew concentrate. Stir once, gently. Vanilla fans can add a couple of drops of vanilla extract. One fan told Tasting Table they couldn't quite replicate it at home, and that's fair, but it gets close. More ratios are in our coffee soda recipes.

If you miss the cola: a coffee-caffeinated cola

Zevia Kola Energy is a stevia-sweetened cola with 120mg of caffeine extracted from the coffee bean (Zevia). It doesn't taste like coffee, but it's a zero-sugar cola with more caffeine than a Diet Coke.

If you miss the coffee and the fizz: a coffee soda

That's what a coffee soda is. We make ESSELATE: real brewed coffee, carbonated, with 80mg of caffeine, zero sugar and stevia. To be clear, it is not cola-flavored. It tastes like cold coffee with bubbles. If what you liked about Coca-Cola with Coffee was an afternoon can with real coffee in it and no sugar, it's worth a try. Read what coffee soda is first so the first sip isn't a surprise.

If you like sweet, old-school coffee sodas, Manhattan Special in Brooklyn has made an espresso coffee soda since 1895, sweetened with sugar (Wikipedia).
